weekly update!~ no promises on any regularity ^.^; i had a very chillax week, i went for a walk a few times and got to meet up with an old coworker. i miss her dearly! we went out for pho and afterwards sat in some grass and smoked in the park. it was really nice catching up with her and life at my last job, lol. i haven't seen a friend irl in such a long time!! it was dearly needed!! if things go as planned i will be seeing her again soon! ^.^

tama/vpet update: i've been recording more sprites on my pocket hello kitty. today i saw a violin for the first time! i still have yet to record all of her outfits, but i've been making sure to take photos ^_^ you can see what i've archived so far on my website, here! vpet shrine. there is a scene of hello kitty on some swings that i haven't drawn yet, but right before that i saw hello kitty walk up to a tree and some text i took a photo of, and my partner's friend helped us translate it! i don't have a photo right now, but basically we roughly translated the text to : "rorry's house: they are not here right now but it's okay to use". (Rorry is a squirrel friend of hello kitty's).

hello kitty in one of her special outfits. the screen is fading in some areas. i've been told this could be fixed by taking it apart and cleaning the screen, and making sure the screws are tight. i haven't done it quite yet... but i've found that sometimes the screen is way more readable than others, depending on the animations.

I'm not sure if the pocket hello kitty is super accurate in it's pedometer readings, but I was enamored of the idea so much I ordered another pedometer pet, the teku teku angel. this series of toys really interested me! i find the characters adorable and the gameplay exactly what i'm looking for. a bit low maintenance but a motivator to go out on walks more ^_^; i've been trying to go on more walks for my mental health, but i do appreciate the physical health benefits too! the teku teku angel has three versions, and i recently ordered the second version, the teku teku angel "due". from what i've read, this one is smaller than the original version but has more characters than the original. i'm not sure how the roster differs from v3, but that one comes with a DS game companion. from what i can tell however, v2 doesn't have the same angel characters as v1? but i plan to get both someday and review their runs. ^.^

lastly, i've been sort of accidentally running 4 tamas right now? my uni, angel, school, and akai. my uni is an adult i don't want to get rid of quite yet, so i've been using the sitter option for most of the day to keep my tama-load low ^.^; the school is quite noisy and needy, but as of now i THINK i've paused it? i couldn't find info about it on a guide, but it's on the reset time screen. i'll find out tomorrow when i unpause if it made an effect at all before i move on to pausing it more long term ^_^;

my angel didn't turn out with the adult i needed, so i'm letting it turn into the devil! oops, but sorry, it must be done. my akai is an adult - ribotchi, but i think i'm going to aim for the old lady character for the retirement hatch on the tama discord. she's about 5-6 days away i think? ^-^ the match maker keeps coming to present a kuchipatchi, but i must refuse. u-u despite the very grindy games for gotchi points, i really like the akai. the c-button animations are adorable!

i was talking with my coworker briefly about my new found tama obbession, and we bonded over gameboy emulators and pokemon. she stated how she liked the monochrome palette of the GBA and how easy it was on her eyes. i kinda realized maybe thats part of the charm of these vintage tamagotchis for me - they are nostalgic but also simple in execution. these vpets are by no means complex but they charm me very very much!

i have received an entama in the mail that is in dire need of some TLC, i'm just waiting for a chill morning to do so. i don't have it in me to run another tama rn, but im excited to run it at some point ^_^ i drunkenly bid on this one and bid a bit too much when i didn't need to, but alas! i don't mind that the shell design is damaged, because it will make me feel less stressed about repairing it XD
